One good thing

So, it finally happened, last night I brought home my new puppy. An 8 month old Irishdoodle who is the sweetest and most exhausting thing. She has boundless energy and is completely goofy. She is presently tearing around after her chew toy in the other room, giving me a momentary retrieve from her morning puppy energy.

It’s amazing and wonderful and challenging. The words be careful what you wish for come to mind. But I love her already and I am grateful. And I’m not handling it perfectly. But anything worth doing is worth doing badly.

Everything here is new to her, including me. She gets very excited at every new discovery. All the new smells, sounds, tastes, she was spinning in circles on our walk so thrilled with every new scent she picked up. She was frolicking around.

When I picked her up at a family farm breeder up near Buffalo, there were kids on pogo sticks, climbing trees, playing with other puppies. It was lovely to watch and felt wholesome and simple. A spring afternoon in the country. Life can be beautiful. Listening to birdsong and watching my new pup frolick around playing with a squeaky sloth stuffy I am content.

May peace prevail ☮️
